CentralWorld at a glance

CentralWorld sits at the Ratchaprasong intersection in Pathum Wan, one of Bangkok's busiest shopping and tourism districts. Developed and owned by Central Pattana (CPN) on leased Crown Property Bureau land, the complex now spans roughly 550,000 sqm of retail space plus a hotel and office tower, and has been described as one of the largest shopping complexes in Southeast Asia.

The mall was badly damaged by fire during the 2010 political unrest and again by a smaller fire in 2019; both times it was repaired and reopened, and its department-store anchor (formerly Zen, then Isetan) was rebranded Central in 2019 after a major revamp.
