How does this decide which neighbourhoods are in range?For car, walk and bike, one travel-time shape is drawn around your matched address. Each BAANLYY neighbourhood centroid and each building that already has a coordinate is tested against that shape on our side. The closest nine then get an exact minute count. For BTS/MRT, we do not draw a shape: we keep places within 25 km and ask Google for public-transport times to the nine that sit closest to a station in BAANLYY's rail list.
Why do I confirm the address first?The words you type are matched to a real place in Thailand, near Bangkok, and shown back to you. Routing starts only after you accept that match, so a misspelled street does not send you a commute for the wrong building.
Are the times exact?They are estimates from Mapbox (driving with live and typical traffic, or walking, or cycling) or from Google for public transport. Trains, traffic and the walk to a station change through the day. Check again at the time you would actually leave.
What if the tool says it is busy?There is a daily limit on these searches so the tool cannot run up an open-ended bill. When that limit is reached you get a plain note and a link to the area guides, not an error page. It resets the next day.
Does the older station calculator still work?Yes. The station-to-station calculator at /tools/commute-calculator is unchanged. This page answers a different question: given one address, which neighbourhoods and buildings are within the time you will give the trip.
