Public university · founded 1934 · Phra Nakhon (Tha Prachan) / Khlong Luang, Pathum Thani (Rangsit)
Thammasat University was founded in 1934 as a university of moral and political sciences and is one of Thailand's oldest and most prestigious public universities, historically strong in law, economics and political science. It operates two main campuses: the original riverside Tha Prachan campus in Bangkok's old town near Sanam Luang, and the much larger Rangsit campus in Pathum Thani province just north of the city, which now hosts most faculties and student life.
Thammasat offers a range of English-medium international undergraduate programs (BBA, BE, BAS and others) alongside its Thai-medium faculties, drawing both Thai and international students.
