Ramkhamhaeng University Regional Campus, Chiang Mai at a glance
Ramkhamhaeng University is Thailand's open-admission public university, and since 1995 it has run a network of regional campuses “in Honour of His Majesty The King”. Chiang Mai appears in both of the two lists on RU's own central register: it is one of the 23 regional campuses, and it is also one of the 41 domestic examination centres, so a student here can both study and sit finals locally. Its own site places it on the 1st floor of the Manee Noppharat Building inside Sri Thana Commercial Technology College at 71 Huai Kaeo Road, Tambon Suthep -- leased private premises, per the branch's own procurement notices, rather than a campus with its own grounds. Teaching reaches it as live RU Cyber Classroom broadcast from Bangkok with Course On Demand replays a week later, backed by a local office open seven days a week, 08.00–16.30. Alongside the standard regional undergraduate route it runs a pre-degree track and locally-taught special-programme cohorts -- a non-thesis two-year Master of Political Science, and a Bachelor of Laws special programme -- which is the practical reason a working adult in Chiang Mai ends up here rather than at CMU.
