The mall is laid out over four floors: the ground floor mixes Thai ethnic food stalls with everyday retail, the second floor holds fashion, electronics and bank branches, the third floor houses the Central Food Court and sit-down restaurants, and the fourth floor combines the SF Cinema multiplex with a children's play area and arcade games. Robinson serves as the department-store anchor and Tops as the main supermarket, covering mid-range fashion, homeware and groceries under one roof.
Central Plaza sits on Phahonyothin Road in Rop Wiang, a short drive from Chiang Rai's Old City centre and Clock Tower. Chiang Rai has no rail transit, so most residents reach the mall by car, motorbike or songthaew. On Saturday nights many locals park here and walk the short distance to the Walking Street night market on Thanalai Road rather than compete for parking closer to the market.
