Pong, Bang Lamung, Chonburi 20150, near Siam Country Club. Both Highgate's UK and Thai sites confirm the sub-district and the Siam Country Club reference point; a fuller street address circulates in directories but we could not confirm it from the school's own pages and so do not publish it as fact

Bang Lamung cluster, in Pong — inland from Pattaya near Siam Country Club, close to Hastin and Odyssey and completely impractical from the Sriracha industrial corridor. Highgate's UK announcement pitches the site as 'less than 80 minutes' drive south-east of Bangkok', which is a Bangkok-relocation frame, not a Chonburi-corridor one. Read that as what it is: this school is aimed at Pattaya-side and Bangkok families, not at Amata Nakorn.

The campus

As announced: a full-size FIFA-standard football pitch, an Olympic-size swimming pool, a Golf Academy, a 450-seat auditorium and black-box theatre, a STEM building, and a Library and Digital Media Centre. This is a capital-intensive build on a scale nothing else in the province matches.

The academic pathway

• Pre-Prep, ages 2–7 — open from the 2026/27 school year
• Junior School, ages 7–11 — open from the 2026/27 school year
• Senior School and Sixth Form, ages 11–18 — announced for August 2027, one year behind

Leaving qualification: IGCSE and A-level, per Highgate School's own UK announcement. No cohort has reached either yet, and the Sixth Form does not open until 2027 at the earliest

Accreditation, exam boards & membership

• Backed by Highgate School in London, which its own materials describe as drawing on an academic heritage spanning some 460 years
• The school's own Thai website footer states that Highgate International School Thailand 'is in the process of procuring its licence'. That is the school's own disclosure, not our inference, and for a school taking enrolments now it is the single most important line on its website
• No whole-school international accreditation (CIS, WASC, NEASC) is claimed, which is normal for a school in its first year — accreditation bodies require operating history

Boarding

Announced, and inconsistently dated by the school itself: two separate blocks on Highgate's own Thailand homepage give a boarding start of 2027 in one place and 2028 in the other. We publish both rather than pick. If boarding is part of why you are considering this school, get the date in writing.

Religious character

No religious character is published.

Scale of the school

No roll is published, and there cannot be a meaningful one yet. Head of School: Ben Keeling, who joined Highgate in the summer of 2025. Siam Motors Group leadership named in the launch announcement includes Dr Phornthep Phornprapha as Chairman, Prakasit Phornprapha as President and Tanyaporn Phornprapha Tangcravakoon as Chair of the School Board.

Who it tends to suit

Pattaya-side and Bangkok families willing to take the risk that goes with a first-year school in exchange for a brand-new campus, a serious British parent institution and small founding year groups. Families who need a proven track record, a settled sixth form or a confirmed licence should wait a year and watch.

Confirm these with the school before you commit

• Ask directly about the licence. The school's own website says it is in the process of procuring one; establish what that means for your child's enrolment, records and any deposit before you pay anything.
• Confirm the boarding start year — the school's homepage says 2027 in one place and 2028 in another.
• Confirm that the Senior School and Sixth Form will open in August 2027 as announced, and what the school's plan is for a family whose child would otherwise be stranded between the Junior School ceiling and a Senior School that has slipped.
• Ask how many children are actually enrolled in your child's year group. In a founding year, a year group of three is a real possibility and a real problem.
• Ask which staff are seconded from or trained by Highgate in London, and for how long — the parent-school connection is the entire value proposition.
• Establish which Chonburi the campus is in before anything else. Ask for the tambon (sub-district) and amphoe (district) in writing, put that into a map, and drive it from your own address at 07:00 on a weekday. 'Chonburi' covers both the Sriracha industrial corridor and the Pattaya hinterland at Bang Lamung, 40–60 km apart, and essentially every schools directory files both — plus Rayong province's schools — under a single 'Pattaya' heading.
• Ask whether an accreditation, an IB authorisation or an Advanced Placement programme shown on a website belongs to THIS CAMPUS or to the group. Multi-campus groups display group marks in a site-wide footer that appears identically on every campus page, and at least one Chonburi campus is affected.
• Ask what year group the campus actually tops out at THIS academic year — not what the prospectus plans, and not what the fee table implies.
• Ask whether the school holds a current Thai Ministry of Education licence, and for a school that is new or expanding, whether the licence covers the years your child would be in.
• Ask for the current fee schedule in writing. BAANLYY does not publish per-school tuition figures — they are revised annually, every school publishes its own, and the figures circulating in directories are frequently drawn from historic documents.
