Overview & history

Central Northville sits on Rattanathibet Road in the Bang Krasor area of Mueang Nonthaburi District, on a site with a genuinely long retail history. It opened as Jusco Rattanathibet on 5 November 1991, one of the largest Jusco-branded stores in Thailand at the time. Central Pattana (CPN) acquired the property from Siam Jusco for a reported THB 650 million on 30 December 2003, renaming it Central Rattanathibet Town Center in January 2004 and later CentralPlaza Rattanathibet after a roughly THB 1.88 billion phase-two expansion completed in December 2006. Around 2023, CPN confirmed it would demolish the more than three-decade-old original building for a full ground-up redevelopment — reopening it, on the same site, as Central Northville, which officially launched on 3 July 2026.

What's new

Biophilic design concept300+ brands (many new to the area)Sports & fitness facilitiesDining & green spaceCondo phase planned for 2027

Central Pattana is marketing Central Northville as Thailand's first shopping centre built around a full "biophilic design" concept — an outdoor-inspired indoor mall intended to integrate nature with urban living in support of wellbeing and what CPN calls a "longevity living" positioning. Launch materials cite an investment of roughly THB 4.5 billion across more than 59 rai, a shopping-centre gross building area of about 210,000 sqm (up from roughly 140,000 sqm at the previous Central Rattanathibet), and over 300 brands, with many reported as new to the immediate area. CPN has also flagged a condominium component planned for around 2027 as part of a wider mixed-use development on the site — treat that timeline as a stated plan rather than a confirmed delivery date until it is independently reconfirmed closer to launch.

Getting there & nearby

Central Northville is positioned near the MRT Purple Line's Yaek Nonthaburi station, with the MRT Pink Line's Nonthaburi Civic Center station also within reach for residents connecting across Nonthaburi's growing rail network. Longtime tenants displaced by the redevelopment have relocated nearby — Robinson's Rattanathibet branch moved to Robinson Lifestyle Ratchaphruek, the old Index Living Mall branch moved to Little Walk Rattanathibet, and the previous Homeworks/BnB Home space moved to a combined Thai Watsadu x BnB Home Rattanathibet store.
