International Baccalaureate -- PYP and MYP · Immediately outside the main entrance of Nichada Thani, Bang Talat, Pak Kret
Magic Years International School was founded in 1990 and sits immediately outside the main entrance of the Nichada Thani expatriate estate in Bang Talat, Pak Kret -- the same estate that International School Bangkok sits inside. It is an authorised IB World School running the Primary Years Programme and the Middle Years Programme for children from age one to around sixteen, with the Diploma Programme reported as planned for 2027. That makes it the only school in Nonthaburi offering a genuine IB continuum from the early years rather than an American or British programme that adds the IB Diploma at the top. Inquiry is the stated core of the approach from the youngest year groups upward. The campus is reported to include indoor-outdoor classrooms, a saltwater pool, STEM and art labs and a small farm.
Also known as: MYIS International School
Nonthaburi’s eight schools end at four different ages, so this is the first question to settle — not the last. “Runs to 18” and “has a sixth form on this campus” are separate claims.
Grade 10, around age 16, at present. MYIS reports an intention to add the IB Diploma Programme by 2027. Until that is authorised and running, a family enrolling a fourteen-year-old should assume a move for the final two years.

Immediately outside the main entrance of the Nichada Thani expatriate estate, roughly 30 minutes from central Bangkok by car outside peak hours. This is the single most under-reported location fact in the province: a family living in Nichada Thani for ISB has a second, completely different school -- an IB continuum school -- a short walk from the estate gate.
No, not usefully. MYIS sits with ISB in the Nichada Thani pocket north of Chaeng Wattana. The Pink Line reaches Pak Kret district but not this soi, and the near-universal answer here, as at ISB, is to live close and travel short.
Area guides families use for this school run: Pak Kret & Chaengwattana
Worth separating: an examination-board authorisation (Cambridge, IB, College Board) means a school may enter pupils for those exams. A whole-school accreditation (WASC, CIS, COBIS, Cognia, ISQM) assesses the school itself. Both matter; they are not the same claim.
None published. MYIS advertises no religious character or requirement.
Day school. MYIS advertises no boarding.
Families who want a genuine IB continuum from early years rather than an American or British programme with an IB Diploma bolted on at the end; families already committed to Nichada Thani who want an alternative to ISB without moving house; and families of very young children -- MYIS takes children from age one, the youngest starting age on this list.
We publish these openly rather than smoothing them over. A school guide that hides its uncertainty is not much use to a family making a decision this big.
BAANLYY does not rank, endorse or accept payment from schools. Facts on this page are compiled from Magic Years International School (MYIS)'s own published material and independent cross-checks, and we deliberately publish no per-school fee figures — they change annually and a stale number is worse than none. Nonthaburi has two MRT lines but no campus at a station gate — the neighbourhood you choose is still the commute. Compare all eight schools first, then match an area.
