International Baccalaureate — full continuum (PYP, MYP & DP) blended with the National Curriculum of England · Mittrapab (Mittraphap) Road, roughly 10 minutes north of Udon Thani city centre
Udon Thani International School (UDIS) was founded in 2013 and welcomed its first students in August 2014, on a campus on Mittrapab Road about 10 minutes north of central Udon Thani. It is the city's oldest and, as of 2026, only fully international school — a three-programme IB World School authorised to teach the Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP), blending inquiry-based IB teaching with the rigour of the National Curriculum of England. In July 2021 UDIS earned full accreditation from the Council of International Schools (CIS), becoming the first school in Northeast Thailand to hold that accreditation, and it graduated its first IB Diploma cohort in 2026. The school draws a genuinely international community — around 29 student nationalities and 14 staff nationalities — and offers day places from Preschool through Year 13 (roughly ages 2 to 18), with Thai and Chinese language programmes alongside the core IB curriculum.
