The Ang Thong rental market

Everything advertised for long stay in the whole province, enumerated: ten distinct buildings across two portals at ฿1,400–6,500 a month, nine of them in one district, and five of seven districts with nothing at all.

Share

Read the arithmetic first: RentHub advertised six long-stay buildings in Ang Thong in August 2026 and Hongpak advertised five, but five of those buildings appear on both. Six plus five is not eleven. The union is ten distinct buildings, nine of them in Mueang Ang Thong district and one in Wiset Chai Chan, at ฿1,400 to ฿6,500 a month. Everything below is enumerated from pages we opened and read, and where a portal is broken or a figure is unverifiable we say so instead of quoting it.

RentHub's own amphoe facet for the province reads Mueang Ang Thong (5), Wiset Chai Chan (1) and zero for each of Chaiyo, Pa Mok, Pho Thong, Sawaeng Ha and Samko. Note the update column: the dates run from September 2019 to March 2025, and only one of the six has been refreshed in the last year and a half. Two of them were last touched before 2024. Treat these as asking prices from records of very different vintages, not as a market snapshot taken on one day.

Two things about this list are worth flagging. First, Hongpak's province route under-counts its own database: the similar-properties module on one of its Ang Thong listings surfaced four further Ang Thong buildings — Taweep, Oon-jai, Anpan Place and a resort at tambon Yan Sue — that the province route never lists at all. So the portal holds at least nine Ang Thong records and shows five. A portal's province page is a view, not a census. Second, the date stamp on Hongpak's list cards is not a per-listing update date: it read identically on all five cards, while the detail page of one of them recorded its own last update as October 2020. We have not used it as a freshness signal and neither should you.

By district: nine in one, one in another, nothing in five

Mueang Ang Thong9 of the 10The capital district holds everything advertised bar one, spread across the tambon of Ban It, Pho Sa, Bang Kaeo, Sala Daeng, Talat Luang and Yan Sue. RentHub's amphoe facet reads 5 here; Hongpak's five are all here too.

What the amenity data does and does not show

We are not publishing an amenity table for Ang Thong, and the reason is a broken portal rather than a thin market. RentHub's Ang Thong amenity facet renders every one of its 27 checkboxes at zero — lift, air conditioner, fan, refrigerator, furniture, water heater, wifi, CCTV, car parking, keycard, pool, fitness, laundry, the lot. Air conditioning at zero is provably false, because at least one of the six listings names air conditioning on its own detail page. The block is simply unpopulated server-side for this province, which makes all 27 of those zeros void, not findings. What we could verify are the route-level filters, and we canaried them before trusting them: a price filter correctly narrowed the province from six results to five, proving the filtering works server-side. Running the pool and fitness routes on that same working mechanism returned the portal's empty state both times. So: zero of six with a swimming pool, zero of six with a fitness room, with the denominator stated. On Hongpak's side, card chips are lower bounds rather than facets — one listing showed three chips on its card and five on its detail page — so the most we can say is that security cameras appeared on 5 of 5 cards, wifi on 4 of 5 and car parking on 3 of 5.

05

Ownership: no condominium, and one portal that does not even offer the category

On the ownership side Ang Thong is empty in a way that is unusually well evidenced. DDproperty's province-bounded condo directory returned zero entries, and we confirmed the route stayed bounded rather than silently redirecting to a national result set — the unfiltered national directory prints a result count in the twelve thousands, and the Ang Thong route prints none. Its exact empty state reads "We didn't find anything this time" and "No results found in Ang Thong". Its province-bounded for-sale search returned 21 properties in total, and every occurrence of the word "condo" on that page was navigation, footer or boilerplate — zero of 21 listing cards are typed as a condominium; they are detached houses and land. FazWaz goes further: it publishes no condo route for Ang Thong at all. Its own province sitemap offers Property, Houses and Land for sale and Property and Houses for rent, and there is no Condos For Sale or Condos For Rent entry for the province in either direction. Its four Ang Thong rental listings are all typed House — and two of those four are test records, one titled "A Nice Testing House to Buy" with an impossible 13 sqm two-bedroom, the other titled simply "test". Because those two junk records carry the extreme price-per-square-metre values, we will not quote FazWaz's Ang Thong rent medians: the median is being set by the test data, not the market. Its project directory returns exactly one result for the province, a housing estate rather than a condominium, and we are not publishing its developer, year, unit count or coordinate off a single uncorroborated card.

06

Source independence: what corroborates what

Three source-groups actually bounded this province, and it is worth being precise about which of them can confirm which. RentHub and Hongpak are separate businesses but are not independent counts — they overlap on five of ten buildings and disagree on the price of two of those, which is staleness rather than a second reading. DDproperty (PropertyGuru Group) is genuinely independent of both, and it is the one returning a real, province-bounded zero for condominiums. FazWaz belongs to Lifull Connect, which means the various Lifull-owned portals and white-labels cannot be treated as further confirmation of it. And one source produced nothing at all: BaanFinder returned an empty response body on both its Ang Thong project and for-sale routes. That is a missing source, not agreement — Ang Thong stays on our list to re-check there. One last trap worth naming for anyone doing this work themselves: FazWaz's own Ang Thong navigation mixes in links pointing at Mu Ko Ang Thong in Surat Thani, a marine national park near Koh Samui with no connection to this province. Anything scraped from that nav silently pulls the wrong Ang Thong.

Frequently asked

How many rentals are actually advertised in Ang Thong?Ten distinct buildings, and the arithmetic matters. RentHub's Ang Thong province index displayed six in August 2026. Hongpak's Ang Thong route displayed five. But five buildings appear on both — IKKYU, Hor Puk Khun Kru, Oon-jai, Taweep and Anpan Place — so the two lists overlap heavily and neither is a superset of the other. Six plus five is not eleven; the union is ten. Nine of the ten are in Mueang Ang Thong district and one is in Wiset Chai Chan. Advertised rents across the whole set run ฿1,400 to ฿6,500 a month.
Do the two portals agree with each other? Not entirely, and where they disagree the disagreement is staleness rather than a second opinion. IKKYU Angthong is listed at ฿4,000–6,500 on one portal with three room types and ฿4,500–6,500 on the other with two; Oon-jai is ฿2,700–4,900 on one and ฿3,000–6,000 on the other. Three of the shared buildings — Anpan Place, Taweep and Hor Puk Khun Kru — agree exactly. When a landlord-submitted listing on one site was last touched in 2020 and on the other in 2022, a price gap is a record-age artefact. Two portals carrying the same building at different prices is not corroboration of either price.
Why does the amenity filter not appear on this page?Because RentHub's Ang Thong amenity facet is broken, and we would rather say so than quote it. Every one of its 27 amenity checkboxes renders a count of zero — including air conditioning, which is provably wrong, since at least one of the six listings names air conditioning on its own detail page. The block is simply not populated server-side for this province, so all 27 of those zeros are void as evidence, not findings. What we could verify is the route-level filters, which do work: we canaried them with a price filter that correctly narrowed six results to five, then ran the pool and fitness routes, and both returned the portal's empty state. That is a real zero out of six for a pool and a real zero out of six for a gym.
Is anything advertised outside the capital district? One building, and it is the cheapest in the province: Dome House in tambon Hua Taphan, Wiset Chai Chan, at ฿1,400–1,600 a month. Everything else advertised anywhere in Ang Thong is in Mueang Ang Thong. Five of the province's seven districts — Chaiyo, Pa Mok, Pho Thong, Sawaeng Ha and Samko — have nothing at all on either portal. That does not mean nothing is available in them; it means nothing is on a portal, and the real market there is houses and shophouse rooms let directly by owners, found by asking locally rather than by searching.
Is there anything to buy in Ang Thong?Very little, and no condominiums at all. DDproperty's province-bounded condo directory for Ang Thong returned zero entries on a URL that stayed bounded to the province rather than redirecting to a national result set — we confirmed the boundedness by checking that the unfiltered national directory prints a result count in the thousands while the Ang Thong route prints none. Its province-bounded for-sale search returned 21 properties in total, and not one of them is typed as a condominium; they are detached houses and land. FazWaz does not publish a condo route for Ang Thong at all — its own province sitemap offers property, houses and land, and nothing for condos in either direction.
