Ministry of Foreign Affairs — Department of Consular Affairs
Almost every long paper trail in a foreigner's Thai life passes through this office. A marriage registration, a Thai birth certificate for a child born here, a police clearance, a degree certificate, a company document or a translated passport generally needs the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stamp before another country's authorities — or a Thai agency, bank or school — will accept it.
The Legalization Division sits on the 3rd floor of the Department of Consular Affairs building at 123 Chaeng Watthana Road, along the same road as the Chaeng Wattana immigration and government complex. Telephone 0-2575-1056 to 0-2575-1059.
