Bangkok · International school profile

Wells International School.

American + IB Diploma · On Nut, Thong Lor & Bang Na (three campuses)

Founded in 1999, Wells has expanded to three Bangkok campuses, each sited near a BTS station: On Nut (Grades 1–12), Thong Lor (Nursery–Grade 2) and Bang Na (pre-school–Grade 5). It runs an American curriculum adapted for an international student body, with an IB Diploma Programme pathway in the final two years.

Campus

The campus, and how you actually get there

Address: On Nut campus: 2209 Sukhumvit Road, Bang Chak, Phra Khanong, Bangkok

Three smaller urban campuses rather than one large estate: expect city-school facilities and short walks, not playing fields.

Getting there: Deliberately transit-oriented — all three campuses are sited near BTS Sukhumvit Line stations, which is the school's main practical advantage over the big suburban campuses.

Bangkok school runs are decided by traffic, not distance. Cross-check with the Bangkok getting-around guide and the BTS and MRT network before you commit to a neighbourhood.

Academics

The curriculum pathway

How a child progresses through the school, stage by stage:

Standing

Accreditation & memberships

Accreditation is the closest thing to an objective quality signal in international schooling — it means an outside body has inspected governance, teaching and safeguarding. BAANLYY does not rank schools, so this is what Wells International School and its accrediting bodies publish, not our verdict:

Community

Boarding and the size of the school

Boarding: Day school — no boarding.

Scale: Around 1,000 students across the three campuses, representing more than two dozen nationalities. Roll and nationality figures move every year and schools report them differently — treat these as indicative and ask the admissions office for the current numbers.

Fit

Who this school tends to suit

Families who want an American curriculum and an IB Diploma option at a more accessible price point than the largest campuses, and who value BTS access over acreage.

This is our editorial read for relocation planning, not a ranking or a recommendation — and no school pays to appear on BAANLYY. Visit shortlisted campuses before you decide.

Where to live

Living near Wells International School

Pick the campus first, then the neighbourhood — all three sit on the Sukhumvit Line, so the school run is genuinely rail-based.

On NutThonglorBang Na

Check the school's bus catchment before you sign — a home that looks close on a map can sit outside the route, and a home on the route can be twenty minutes further away and still be the easier morning.

Due diligence

What to confirm directly with the school

BAANLYY deliberately does not publish per-school tuition figures: they change annually, schools publish their own current schedules, and a stale number is worse than none. Take this list to the admissions office:
