Public Agricultural College (degree-awarding) · Mueang Buriram
Buriram College of Agriculture and Technology (BCAT) sits in Isan subdistrict on the Buriram-Prakhon Chai road, roughly a kilometre south of the provincial hall -- the same side of the city as the Chang Sports Complex. It teaches at three levels: vocational certificate (ปวช.), higher vocational certificate (ปวส.) and a continuing bachelor's degree (ปริญญาตรีต่อเนื่อง).
Its awarding body is worth naming because it is not the one people assume. Thailand's agricultural colleges are grouped under the Institute of Vocational Education: Agriculture, Northeastern Region -- a separate institute from the Institute of Vocational Education, Northeastern Region 5 that confers degrees for the province's technical colleges. Anyone checking 'which Buriram colleges award degrees' by looking only at the technical-college institute will miss BCAT entirely.
