Buriram's higher-education institutions

Buriram Rajabhat University is the province's largest public university, offering undergraduate and graduate degrees in Thai and English, including a Faculty of Nursing. But it is not the only place in Buriram that awards a degree, and the rest are easy to miss because their awarding body is invisible from their own name.

Buriram Technical College awards a Bachelor of Technology (ทล.บ.) alongside its vocational certificates, conferred through the Institute of Vocational Education, Northeastern Region 5 — a common misreading is that Thai technical colleges award certificates only. Buriram College of Agriculture and Technology also runs a continuing bachelor's degree, but through a different institute again (the agricultural one), so it is missed by anyone who checks only the technical-college institute. Buriram Buddhist College awards Mahachulalongkornrajavidyalaya University degrees including four-year teaching degrees open to lay students. Ramkhamhaeng University's Buriram regional campus delivers open-admission degrees from Huai Rat District, the one institution here outside Mueang Buriram. And Western University's Buriram campus is the province's private-sector nursing school.

Buriram Community College and Ku Muang Technical College are listed too, honestly marked as not confirmed to award bachelor's degrees — the community college awards transferable associate degrees, and Ku Muang's degree status was not confirmed by BAANLYY. Where a founding year or a programme level could not be verified from the institution's own material, we say so on its page rather than guess.
