Nakhon Pathom Rajabhat University is the province's own university -- in the city, on Malaiman Road, rather than out at Salaya. Like all 38 Rajabhat universities it grew out of a teacher-training college and keeps a mandate to serve its home province's teaching and regional-development needs, which is why its student body is drawn far more locally than Mahidol's or Silpakorn's.
It is a large institution and a significant part of the city's rental demand. If you are looking at apartments in Mueang Nakhon Pathom rather than Salaya, NPRU and the Silpakorn campus between them explain most of the supply you will find.
