Institute of Vocational Education: Northeastern Region 5 at a glance
This entry exists to correct a claim that BAANLYY has repeated across several provinces: that a Thai technical college teaches ปวช. and ปวส. certificates 'rather than' bachelor's degrees. In the Nakhon Chai Burin group of provinces — Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, Buriram and Surin — the technical colleges are member institutions of this Institute, and the Institute confers the Bachelor of Technology on students taught at them. The degree route exists; it is simply awarded one level up from the college whose sign is on the building.
The Institute's own head office is not in the provincial capital. It is currently seated inside Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho Technical College at 999 Moo 6, Dan Khun Thot–Nong Suang Road, Tambon Dan Khun Thot, Amphoe Dan Khun Thot — roughly 60 km north-west of Korat city. We are not giving a postcode: two of the Institute's and the college's own pages give different ones, and we would rather print the disagreement than pick a side.
Four member colleges are in Nakhon Ratchasima province: Nakhon Ratchasima Technical College and Nakhon Ratchasima Vocational College, both in Amphoe Mueang; Suranaree Technical College in Amphoe Chok Chai; and Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho Technical College in Amphoe Dan Khun Thot. The other five member colleges are in Chaiyaphum, Buriram and Surin.
Notable facts
- The Institute — not the individual technical college — is what confers the Bachelor of Technology (ทล.บ.) in this province group.
- Head office is inside Luang Pho Khun Parisuttho Technical College in Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, about 60 km north-west of Korat city, not in the provincial capital.

Provenance
The member-college list with addresses, the head-office location and the Institute's administration of the ทล.บ. were read on the Institute's own site (veine5.ac.th) and on lpktc.ac.th on 2026-09-08. A trap worth recording: the domain ivecr5.ac.th reads like 'IVEC Region 5' but belongs to the Institute of Vocational Education: CENTRAL Region 5, based in Samut Songkhram — a different institute in a different part of the country. The Northeastern Region 5 institute is veine5.ac.th. Do not infer one of these institutes' domains from the pattern of another's. The two conflicting postcodes for the head office (32010 and 30210) appear on two different first-party pages and are left unresolved here.
