Korat is not a university town by accident of one campus — it is the seat of a public university, the home of an autonomous research university, and the site of a Buddhist university campus, a Rajabhat, two private institutions and an open-university route that lets you take a Thai degree without moving. Below: what each body actually awards, which district it is genuinely in, and what this province does not have.
Nakhon Ratchasima is Thailand's largest province by area, and several institutions named after it are nowhere near Korat city. Ramkhamhaeng's regional campus is in Amphoe Chok Chai, about 30 km south-east. The vocational institute that confers this province's Bachelor of Technology has its head office in Amphoe Dan Khun Thot, about 60 km north-west. If you are choosing where to live around a course, the province name on the sign will not tell you the commute — the district will. Every entry below names its amphoe.
The second thing worth knowing is that a Thai technical college is not a dead end. Colleges here teach ปวช. and ปวส. certificates, but their students can read for the Bachelor of Technology — it is simply conferred by the Institute of Vocational Education the college belongs to, rather than by the college itself. That distinction is missed constantly, including in earlier versions of our own guides.
This is the set BAANLYY has profiled and checked, not a claim to be the province's complete register. If you know of a degree-awarding body in Nakhon Ratchasima that is missing here, we would rather hear about it than keep a tidy list.
Stated plainly, with how we know. An absence we could establish from an official register that lists every province is marked as confirmed; anything we merely failed to find would be marked as our gap instead.
Primary and official sources are cited above. Government rules, fees and procedures in Thailand change over time and vary by office; always confirm current requirements with the relevant authority before relying on them. BAANLYY never takes paid placement in editorial content.
Tell us your campus, budget and move-in date — we'll point you to condos and shared housing nearby, and tell you honestly if your campus is in a district you would not want to commute from.
