Kasetsart University Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Hua Hin at a glance

Kasetsart University -- one of Thailand's oldest and largest public universities -- holds a 102-rai site on Phetkasem Road at Nong Kae, Hua Hin, near Suan Son beach, developed with army support. It is the fourth veterinary teaching hospital of Kasetsart's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and its stated purpose is academic service to the upper southern region.

It is included in this guide because it is a genuine, physically substantial university presence in Prachuap Khiri Khan -- roughly twenty-six times the footprint of the Suan Dusit centre. BAANLYY previously called it the largest higher-education land holding in the province; that was our own unsourced superlative and it is withdrawn. RMUTR's Wang Klai Kangwon Campus publishes 235 rai for its Suan Son zone alone, and 102 rai is smaller than that. It is not a place you enrol to take a degree: the teaching it hosts is clinical teaching for veterinary students and residents whose degrees are conferred by Kasetsart in Bangkok and at Kamphaeng Saen.
