Overview

SISB Suvarnabhumi Campus is a Nursery-to-Primary campus of Singapore International School (SISB), sitting in Bangkaew, Bang Plee District, close to Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Bangna-Trad corridor. At the Nursery-Kindergarten stage the school blends UK and Singapore curricula, introducing English, Chinese and Thai from Nursery 1; from Primary 1 it follows the Singapore curriculum, internationally recognised for its results in Mathematics and Science. After completing Primary 6, students move on to SISB's Pracha Uthit Campus in Bangkok for Sixth Form, where the pathway shifts to the UK curriculum through Cambridge IGCSE, with a choice of Cambridge AS/A-Levels or the IB Diploma Programme for Grades 11-12. SISB operates six campuses across Thailand under SISB Schools, a company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand. BAANLYY is not affiliated with SISB and takes no paid placement in this guide.

FAQ

Where is SISB Suvarnabhumi Campus located?

4/5 Moo 5, Namdaeng-Bangplee Road, Bangkaew, Bang Plee District, Samut Prakan 10540 -- close to Suvarnabhumi Airport and the Bang Phli/Bangna-Trad corridor.

What ages and curriculum does the Suvarnabhumi campus cover?

It is a Nursery-to-Primary campus for children aged 2 to 12 (Nursery-Kindergarten through Primary 6). The Nursery-Kindergarten stage uses a hybrid UK/Singapore curriculum, teaching English, Chinese and Thai from Nursery 1; Primary follows the Singapore curriculum, known internationally for its strength in Mathematics and Science.

What happens after Primary 6 at SISB Suvarnabhumi?

The child leaves this campus, at around age 11 or 12, with no leaving qualification -- there is no secondary school here. Continuing within SISB means transferring to the Pracha Uthit Campus in Bangkok, roughly 30 km away, for the whole of secondary school (Grades 7-10) and then Sixth Form (Cambridge IGCSE, then Cambridge AS/A-Levels or the IB Diploma Programme in Grades 11-12). Read that carefully, because SISB's own campus page phrases it as students joining 'the Sixth Form school' after Primary 6, which silently omits four years. A Primary 6 leaver is eleven or twelve; Sixth Form is sixteen to eighteen. The route runs through Secondary first.

Does SISB Suvarnabhumi offer boarding?

No. This is one of the most commonly mis-recorded facts in the province. SISB the group does run boarding, for ages 8 to 18, and it exists only at the Pracha Uthit campus in Bangkok -- two blocks, male and female, full and weekly boarding, with one resident teacher per ten boarders. The Suvarnabhumi campus publishes none, and neither do the Chiang Mai or Rayong campuses. A directory row reading 'SISB: boarding -- yes' is true of the group and false of this campus, and acting on it would mean a child boarding roughly 30 km away at a different school site.

Is SISB Suvarnabhumi part of a larger school network?

Yes. Singapore International School (SISB) operates six campuses across Thailand -- Pracha Uthit, Suvarnabhumi, Thonburi, Chiang Mai, Nonthaburi and Rayong -- under SISB Schools, a company listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET: SISB).
