Schools & universities in Suphan Buri.

Suan Dusit's Suphan Buri campus sits on a large site in Mueang Suphan Buri district, granted by the province, and has been teaching since 2002. It is best known for its food science and design faculties, and is the most substantial higher-education presence in the province — a real campus rather than an outreach centre.

Since 2024, Chao Phraya Yommarat Hospital has served as a main teaching hospital for Kasetsart University's Faculty of Medicine, with a clinical medical education centre on site. It brings medical students and additional specialist staff into the province, and is the single biggest recent upgrade to Suphan Buri's institutional weight.

RMUTSB is one of Thailand's nine Rajamangala universities of technology, and Suphan Buri is one of its four campus centres. The university publishes the address itself: 450 Suphanburi–Chainat Road, Tambon Yan Yao, Sam Chuk district 72130 (035-434004). Two details make this a standing campus rather than an outreach room. Its organisational structure lists a Suphan Buri Resource Administration Division, one of only two campus-level resource divisions in the whole university alongside Nonthaburi's; and the Faculty of Business Administration and Information Technology publishes Suphan Buri as one of its own teaching locations, running certificate, diploma and bachelor's intakes there. Where it sits matters for housing: the university gives the campus at 14.7196N, 100.1101E, about 27 km due north of Mueang Suphan Buri, so student demand from RMUTSB lands on Sam Chuk and the northern road, not on the provincial capital. We confirmed the centre, its address and its resource division from the university; we did not establish the full list of faculties teaching there, so we are not publishing one.

Thailand's public Buddhist university runs a constituent college here, and it is inside the temple complex most visitors to the province already know: Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan, Tambon Rua Yai, Mueang Suphan Buri — the same sub-district as Kannasoot Suksalai School below. Its own course listing publishes four bachelor's programmes (Buddhist Studies, Buddhist Management, Public Administration, and a four-year Bachelor of Education in Social Studies), a certificate in Sangha administration, and a Master of Public Administration whose fifth cohort was inducted in 2024 and was defending thesis topics in early 2025. Two facts follow that no other page here states: Suphan Buri awards a master's degree, and one of its degree routes is a teaching qualification. Teaching is in Thai. MCU educates monks and lay students across its network, but we have not confirmed which of this college's programmes admit lay applicants — ask the college.

This is the part of Thai higher education relocation guides usually miss, and here it is unusually large. Both of the province's flagship government vocational colleges belong to the Institute of Vocational Education, Central Region 4, which is the degree-awarding body, and the institute's own published course list gives Suphan Buri six Bachelor of Technology continuation programmes — more than Kanchanaburi's three, and behind only Nakhon Pathom among the institute's four provinces. At Suphan Buri Technical College: Automotive Technology, Information Technology and Logistics Management. At Suphan Buri Vocational College: Accounting, Digital Business Technology and Computer Programmer. So the common line that a Thai technical college stops at certificate and diploma level is simply not true in this province. Note where the awarding body sits: the institute's own contact block puts its head office at 90 Thesa Road, Tambon Phra Pathom Chedi, Mueang Nakhon Pathom 73000 (034-242856), outside Suphan Buri. All six are continuation degrees, entered after a vocational diploma rather than from school. Directory listings give the colleges at 74 Khun Chang Road and 279 Phra Phanwassa Road, Tambon Tha Phi Liang, both in Mueang district; we have not confirmed those street addresses against each college's own contact page.

Getting these wrong sends a family to the wrong province, so they are stated plainly. Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University is sometimes credited with a Suphan Buri campus. Its own organisational-units page does not support that: it lists five faculties, a demonstration school and its centres and offices, and gives one address, 70 Moo 4, Tambon Nong Bua, Mueang Kanchanaburi 71190, with no Suphan Buri campus, centre or site anywhere in it. What KRU does run is a Kanchanaburi–Suphan Buri local-studies database, which is a research and service remit covering both provinces. A service area is not a campus, and we no longer make that claim. Ramkhamhaeng University: its regional network is 23 provincial campuses and Suphan Buri is not among them — the nearest is the Kanchanaburi campus, which is where a Suphan Buri resident studying with RU would be enrolled. And the honest gap: we could not establish which faculties actually teach at the RMUTSB Sam Chuk campus, only that the campus and its administration are real.

The province's flagship state secondary school, in Tambon Rua Yai on Malaiman Road in Mueang district, formed from the merger of Precha Pitthayakorn School and Wat Pratu San School and designated the provincial school. It is an extra-large co-educational school under the Suphanburi Secondary Educational Service Area Office, and it marked its 127th anniversary on 9 December 2025 — the school's own Kannasoot Day — placing its founding in 1898. It runs an English Program special classroom alongside Smart Class and SMTE science-maths streams. The EP is not a marketing line: the school's own 2026 procurement notices put out competitive e-bidding tenders both for running the English Program and for employing native-speaker foreign-language staff.

Historically the provincial girls' school and now over ninety years old, Sa-nguan Ying is co-educational at upper secondary while its ordinary lower-secondary intake remains girls-only; the special classrooms admit both. Admissions listings for the school set out an English Program, an SMTE stream and a Smart Class at lower secondary, and at upper secondary an SMTE stream plus a special International Program (IP) classroom — which, if you need an English-medium route inside the state system, is the most advanced provision anywhere in the province. The English Program is reported to date from 2004, initially two classrooms per year group from M.1. Note the sourcing honestly: these details come from third-party Thai admissions listings, because the school's own site at sysp.ac.th serves legacy TIS-620 encoding that would not render for us. Confirm the current IP intake with the school directly.

Primary schooling in the province is not uniformly Thai-medium. Anuban Suphanburi, on Malaiman Road in Tambon Tha Phi Liang in Mueang district (035-522828), runs an English Program special classroom under Suphan Buri Primary Educational Service Area Office 1. For a family arriving with a primary-age child and no Thai, this is the option worth calling first — and it sits on the same road as Kannasoot Suksalai.

Beyond the named schools above, Suphan Buri's Thai-medium government network is unusually well-resourced for a province of its size, thanks to decades of directed provincial public works under the late Banharn Silpa-archa, which included building and equipping a cluster of schools. The province is also home to a well-regarded sports school linked to Suphanburi FC and national athletics programmes.

There is no full international-curriculum school in Suphan Buri running through to secondary. We graded that in both languages: the province does not appear in national listings of Thailand's international schools, and Thai-language search returns no established international school here. One caveat, stated precisely rather than hidden: a website at riverfieldschool.com advertises Riverfields International School as the first international school in Suphan Buri, offering a Singapore curriculum from kindergarten to Prathom 6 (ages 2 to 12). We are not listing it as an operating school, because it publishes no street address — only the province — no .ac.th domain, no licensing or accreditation reference, and we could find no second source for it in Thai or English. Treat it as a lead to verify in person, not a school we have confirmed. Families needing an IB, British or American track through to secondary should still plan on Bangkok, about two hours away on Highway 340, or Nakhon Pathom to the south.
