Santapol at a glance
Santapol College is Udon Thani's own private higher-education institution -- a college, not a university, and it does not claim to be one. It was licensed under the Private Higher Education Institution Act on 1 July 1998 and took its first bachelor's intake on 1 November 1998. It received full private-higher-education accreditation status in 2018, its twentieth year, and its most recent ONESQA external re-accreditation on 21 August 2023, valid for five years. The higher-education ministry classifies it in Group 3 -- institutions whose mission is local and community development.
It teaches eleven programmes: nine bachelor's degrees and two graduate ones. The bachelor's degrees run across four faculties -- Business Administration (Accounting; Digital Marketing; Human Resource Management; Digital Technology), Laws (Laws), Sciences and Technology (Multimedia Art and Animation; Industrial Management and Logistics, which is awarded as a Bachelor of Technology rather than a B.Sc.), and Education (Early Childhood Education; Thai). The two graduate programmes are a Graduate Diploma in the Teaching Profession and a Master of Education in Educational Administration. Its 2019 building, The Pride, carries what the college describes as northeastern Thailand's largest vertical garden.
