Khon Kaen province has no Rajabhat university of its own -- the nearest rectorates are at Loei, Udon Thani and Maha Sarakham -- and that fact, stated on its own, would leave a reader with the wrong impression. Loei Rajabhat University has taught bachelor's degrees inside Mueang Khon Kaen since 2009, at an education centre that ranks as a faculty of the university, at 234 Moo 7 in Ban Don Bom, Tambon Mueang Kao.

The centre's own admissions material lists six bachelor's programmes taught in the special (weekend) mode on Saturdays and Sundays: Management, Accounting, Public Administration, Law, English and Business English.
