Thammasat University -- one of Thailand's oldest and most selective public universities -- runs a full regional campus in Lampang, roughly 15 km west of the city at 248 Moo 2, Lampang-Chiang Mai Road, Pong Yang Khok Subdistrict, Hang Chat District.
