The College of Industrial Technology and Management is a faculty-level unit of RMUTSV at 99 Moo 4, Thong Nian Subdistrict, Khanom District -- on the Gulf coast at the far northern end of the province, closer to the Samui ferry piers than to Nakhon Si Thammarat city. It was founded on 26 September 1995 as the Srivijaya Campus of the then Rajamangala Institute of Technology, initially teaching at higher vocational certificate level, and became part of RMUTSV when the university was created in 2005.
Khanom is the only higher-education site in the province on the beach side of the northern coast, which makes it unusual: the surrounding rental market is holiday and coastal stock rather than student housing, and the district is better known to foreigners for Khanom's beaches and pink dolphins than for its campus.
