Southern College of Technology at a glance
Southern College of Technology is the province's private higher-education institution, at 124/1 on Highway 403 (the Thung Song--Huai Yot road) in Thi Wang Subdistrict, Thung Song District. It was licensed to enrol degree students from the 2001 academic year, initially in accounting and business administration, added a Bachelor of Accountancy in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration in 2008, and its Faculty of Management Sciences today runs the B.Acc., a B.B.A. in business innovation management (with tracks in business, healthcare management and logistics and supply chain) and a B.A. in hotel management for tourism.
One warning, because the names collide. A separate vocational college -- Southern College of Technology (S.Tech), on the same road, licensed in 1984 and opened on 26 October 1984 -- teaches Thai vocational certificates (ปวช./ปวส.) in trades such as automotive, electrical, electronics, accounting, hotel and IT. The two share a name and a road but award different things. If someone tells you they are studying at "Southern College of Technology" in Thung Song, it is worth asking which one they mean.
