View Talay 1 is a 15-storey twin-building (A & B) condominium at 306/74 Thappraya Road, Nong Prue, Bang Lamung, Chon Buri, developed by View Talay Jomtien Condominium (1997) Co., Ltd. -- the group's first project, which launched the wider View Talay Jomtien series later continued as View Talay 2, 5, 6, 7 and 8 -- and completed in Q3 1997 with 1,650 units across a roughly 20-rai (32,000 sqm) plot. Unit sizes run from studio (32-47 sqm) through one-bedroom (64 sqm) up to two-bedroom (70-186 sqm) layouts; units were originally sold as unfinished 'shell' apartments for owners to fit out themselves, so no two are quite alike. Facilities include a ground-floor communal pool and sundeck with a pool bar/restaurant, a basic open-air gym, ground-floor commercial shops in both buildings, a children's playground and 24h security with CCTV. Dongtan Beach is about 0.8 km (5 minutes by car) away -- unlike several later View Talay towers this one is set back from the sand on Thappraya Road -- making it one of Jomtien's longest-running and most budget-friendly long-stay condos.
