Public institution · Mueang Surat Thani
Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surat Thani grew out of an earlier nursing-assistant school established to address a shortage of nurses in the province. In 1994 Thailand's Ministry of Public Health restructured the college under its health-manpower development institute, and it was granted its royal name, "Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Surat Thani", as one of the colleges in the nationwide Boromarajonani network.
The college sits at 56/6 Moo 2, Sriwichai Road, Makham Tia subdistrict, Mueang district, and today operates as part of the Praboromarajchanok Institute -- the Ministry of Public Health's national network of nursing and health-science colleges -- training nurses and allied health professionals for hospitals across the province and wider southern region.
