British National Curriculum + Cambridge IGCSE & A-Level · Bophut (near Chaweng)
The International School of Samui (ISS) opened in 2007 under the name Bluewater -- chosen in recognition of Koh Samui's clear blue waters -- before being renamed International School of Samui in 2010. Located at 141/21 Moo 6, Bophut, near Chaweng and the island's main amenities, ISS teaches the British National Curriculum with English as the sole language of instruction (Thai, Mandarin and Spanish offered as subjects), leading to Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level qualifications. The school is organised into Early Years, Primary, Senior School and Sixth Form, and reports around 300 pupils from more than 35 countries -- one of the island's longest-established international schools.
