Thai Mueang Industrial and Community Education College was announced and established on 11 August 1993 (B.E. 2536), on public land at Thai Mueang -- the "ทุ่งหญ้าสงวนเลี้ยงสัตว์ ชายทะเลท้ายเหมือง" coastal grazing reserve, approximately 100 rai, requested and approved for the purpose. It is at 170, Thai Mueang Subdistrict, Thai Mueang District, Phang Nga 82120, under the Office of the Vocational Education Commission (OVEC).

This college is the reason a reader should not take "Thai Mueang" as shorthand for Ramkhamhaeng's campus. Thai Mueang District holds two entirely separate post-secondary institutions -- an open-admission university regional campus and this OVEC vocational college -- and by land area this is much the larger of the two.
