Public Community College · founded 2004 · Thap Put
Phang Nga Community College was established on 8 October 2004, first operating from 1 March 2006 using the premises of Thap Put Wittaya School in Bo Saen Subdistrict, Thap Put District, before moving on 19 January 2007 to its own 20-rai site donated by the school, in the same subdistrict and district. It opened to its first student intake in the 2006 academic year.
The college teaches associate-degree (anupariya) programs in five fields: Local Governance, Early Childhood Education, Business Computing, Information and Communication Technology, and General Management -- part of Thailand's national Community College Institute system, which brings post-secondary education to provinces without a full university.
